Switching between apps is unavoidable.
But unnecessary switching is expensive.
Each time you:
- Search for something you copied
- Recreate lost data
- Jump between tools
You break focus.
Clipboard friction is a silent contributor:
- Lost copies → rework
- No history → searching elsewhere
- Poor organization → mental load
Reducing this friction improves focus dramatically.
A good rule:
If you copied it once, you should never need to search for it again.
Less switching means deeper work.
And deeper work produces better results.
